The Great Leesfield Parish Boundary Walk 2017
Saturday 12th August 10 am to 3 pm
Starting from the car park at the end of Station Road, Grotton
Please join us as we walk the Leesfield Parish Boundary. Our parish includes or is adjacent to all of the areas served by the churches in Lees and District, so everyone is warmly invited to join us.
The whole walk is about 9 miles, but it can be split into sections so you don't have to do it all to join in the event and enjoy the companionship of walking together. Easier routes are available which use minor roads and footpaths to avoid fields, mud, steps and cattle, but there will still be some steep inclines on some sections.
More details of the walk and how to join in can be found on the Leesfield Parish website Leesfield Parish

Saturday 27th May, 10.30 am to 1 pm
St Thomas' Church will be open on Saturday 27th May to allow people to explore the rich heritage and symbolism of our wonderful church building, using the recently published Guide book.
The event is open to all, members of the local community who may have wondered what the inside of the church is like, visitors from further afield, and of course our own congregation members who may have been attending church for many years without ever having the opportunity to really look at all the historic detail.
We welcome visitors with limited mobility. There are a few shallow steps to access the building, but we have movable ramps and will provide assistance as required. Once inside the building most of it is accessible with help, with the exception of the tower, ringing room and gallery, but lots of photos of these areas are available. There is also an accessible WC.
Light refreshments will be available, and there will be knowledgeable people on hand to guide you around the church and answer any questions which you may have.
The guide book is on sale at £2.50 per copy, but don't worry if you are unable to or prefer not to purchase one, someone will gladly show you around.
